SUN GODS TO GAMMA RAYS ANNOUNCE FINAL SHOW AND HIATUS
JULY 31, 2015 AT 331 CLUB
Local Minneapolis psychedelic-pop band Sun Gods to Gamma Rays (SGGR) have announced they will be taking an indefinite hiatus, beginning in early August. Two of the band’s members, vocalist Brianna Kocka and keys player Peter Bregman, will be moving out of state. The band's last performance will be July 31, 2015 at the 331 Club in Northeast Minneapolis. Opening acts Good Night, Gold Dust and Astronomique, will join them for their farewell show.
Sun Gods to Gamma Rays was formed in the early winter of 2013 when Kocka’s solo project, CAETANI, was asked to record a song for Absolutely Cuckoo: Minnesota Covers the 69 Love Songs. Kocka and Bregman sought out the help of friends, and after recording the track the band was formed. SGGR had a prolific two and a half years, first releasing their EP, The Water, The Wave on November 5, 2013, followed by their LP A Ghost to Find, released November 4, 2014.
